Gino H. Polidori (July 23, 1941 – January 26, 2014) was an American politician from the State of Michigan. He served a member of the Michigan House of Representatives.




He was a Democrat and he represented the 15th district, which is located in Wayne County and includes the city of Dearborn






RIP Sebastian!




Sebastian Smart Barker FRSL (16 April 1945 – 31 January 2014) was a British poet notable for a visionary manner that has been compared to William Blake in its use of the long ecstatic line and its "ability to write lyric poetry which used simple words to encapsulate profound meanings".




His The Dream of Intelligence (1992) was named as a Book of the Year in both The Independent and The Spectator, and The Erotics of God (2005) was The Tablet′s Book of the Year in 2005.

John Kabaireho (1923 or 1924 – January 22, 2014) was a Ugandan politician. He was the Prime Minister of dependent Ankole Kingdom from 1960 to 1963.




In 1963 he was replaced by James Kahigiriza.





John Robertson (March 12, 1934 – January 25, 2014) was a Canadian author, writer, journalist and media personality. Robertson, a promising amateur baseball pitcher, had a tryout in 1950 with Major League Baseball's Washington Senators.




When his playing days ended, he would stay around the game as a reporter, in later years writing newspaper columns on the Montreal Expos and Toronto Blue Jays. In 1998, he was inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame

Michael Tshele, also known as Bra Mike and Shadow, (ca.1950 – 13 January 2014), was a South African freelance photographer and community activist who was known for his contributions to the online newspaper Kormorant and Leseding News.




Tshele was killed along with three others while reporting on a protest over water in Mothutlung near Brits, North West province, South Africa during the post-apartheid era






RIP David!




David Christopher Bird (c. 1959–2014) was an American journalist who covered energy markets for The Wall Street Journal and was deputy managing editor for Dow Jones Energy Service.




He was known for his ability to detect emerging market trends, particularly the decline in oil prices that began in 2014, before they otherwise became apparent, through close analysis of data.




Before working at the Journal he had worked for Dow Jones overseas, based in its London office.

Göran Johansson satt i kommunfullmäktige i Göteborg i 37 år. I 19 år var han kommunstyrelsens ordförande (1988-1991, 1994-2009). En facklig karriär var ingången till politiken.




Han var metallarbetare och ordförande för Metalls verkstadsklubb vid SKF i Göteborg.
